Buyers of Villas at Residencial Las Islas are entitled to a full refund of the 21% IVA (VAT) paid on the purchase because villas at ‘Residencial Las Islas’ are designated by the Tourist Authority of the Region of Murcia as tourist rental properties (apartamentos de alojamiento turistico).
The refund is paid in full during the first 12 months of ownership provided that the villa has been rented for a minimum of four weeks during that year. The Accountant’s fees for this are included in the purchase price of the villa. Owners may occupy their villas for 11 months each year.
