Description
Playa Honda is located near La Manga, just off the road to Cartagena, and about a 35-minute drive from Murcia San Javier airport. It is one of the small towns that have grown along the shores of the Mar Menor. There is a beautiful sandy beach, a promenade that connects it to Mar de Cristal and a small town center with a selection of bars, cafes and shops. There are stunning views from the beach to the La Manga Strip.
There is a supermarket near the seafront, within the complex. Nearby, on the main strip of La Manga, there are many more shops, and there are also banks. There is a pharmacy near the store in the complex.
The La Manga market takes place every Thursday, offering a huge variety of goods to a busy crowd.
Playa Honda enjoys a typical Mediterranean climate, with cool sea breezes in summer and protection from the surrounding mountains from the cold northerly winds in winter. The average temperature easily exceeds 20 degrees.
